REGIO.DIGI.HUB: Project’s achievements and the Multiplier Event in Greece 

IDEC S.A. participates in Regio.Digi.Hub project, which is focused on enhancing the capacity of the Vocational Education and Training (VET) system in regional development education at the European level. The main objectives are:

IDEC S.A. participates in Regio.Digi.Hub project, which is focused on enhancing the capacity of the Vocational Education and Training (VET) system in regional development education at the European level. The main objectives are:

  1. the development of an e-learning platform dedicated to innovation in the regional development sector,
  2. building the capacity of the VET system for innovation and digitalization,
  3. defining an innovation and digitalization pathway customised to stakeholders,
  4. developing an innovative training methodology and learning strategies for new pedagogies,
  5. and elaborating a course with three modules validated by VET center staff and trainers.

The project’s results included an Innovative Training Methodology with features supporting VET systems in regional development and a training course covering 15 regional development skills.

In reflection of the achievements, the two-year project successfully met the goals of increasing the qualification of regional development specialists and developing an innovative training methodology and e-learning platform. The platform offered free training courses in smart specialization strategies, green and digital transformation, and innovation entrepreneurship. The project successfully disseminated information in Bulgaria, generating interest in the developed materials. The Regio Academy e-learning platform received overwhelmingly positive feedback, with users successfully completing training courses. The Regio.Digi.Hub community is thriving, with growing engagement and success in the diverse and engaging courses offered.

In Greece, the project was highly evaluated and gained the interest of the stakeholders, according to the feedback received during the Multiplier Event. Said event was held on October 24th, 2023, at the Airotel Stratos Vassilikos Hotel in Athens, Greece, was organized by IDEC S.A. as part of the 5th annual DISCUSS LEARNING conference. The event, attended by 24 participants, featured presentations covering digital transformation in the Region of Attica, smart cities, vocational training for regional development, and digital adaptation in public administration. Participants not only found the objectives clear, but they also expressed a keen interest in future training offered by the Regio.Digi.Hub project. The event’s success was evident in the diverse audience, including representatives from the public sector, freelancers, and university students from various departments.
