EXPANDVET

The TOI EXPAND QUALITY ASSURANCE IN VET (BENCHMARKING TOOL) LLP-LdV-TOI-2012-LT-0117 project addresses the problem of improving quality assurance systems in VET.

The project EXPANDVET will transfer good practice and innovation techniques to four EU countries (Lithuania, Austria, Poland and United Kingdom) from previous Leonardo da Vinci development of innovation project "Benchmarking Tool for Quality Assurance in VET (BEQUAL)".

Main reason of the project is development and adoption of self-evaluation approaches, assessment culture also practical application of CQAF which is poor in partner's countries.

EfVET President participates in 3rd Expandvet Project meeting

The most recent EXPANDVET project meeting took place on ‘home turf’ for the President of EfVET, Mr Peter Hodgson (pictured on the left in the project team photograph below). The meeting took place at Norton Radstock College on 21st and 22nd November. On behalf of the college (where Peter is a Vice Principal) he welcomed visitors from Lithuania, Austria, Greece and Poland.

Bequal+ Conference in Sofia, Bulgaria

Three of the EXPANDVET partners participated on the Bequal+ partner meeting and final conference in Sofia.

The meeting took place on 19.09.2013 and the final conference on 20.09.2013.

Meeting 19.09

We were mostly engaged in discussion on the dissemination of the Bequal+ project. Another topic was about the commercial use of the tool – the conclusion was, that the tool itself cannot be used commercially, however it can be accompanied by some services (consultancy) on how to improve VET organisations.

Final Conference 20.09

The conference attracted about 40 participants. There was some really influential decision makers in audience and they gave very promising feedback in terms of prospect for future use and development of the products. There was also a suggestion very similar to what was discussed the previous day among the partners - to go beyond the tool and to elaborate some services to help/consult VET providers to develop their procedures for QA. Probably this is worth exploring further.

Second partners' meeting in lodz, poland

The second project meeting has been successfully held in Lodz, Poland, on the 23rd and 24th of May 2013.

The E-benchmarking tool is ready to be used by Lithuanian VET institutions.

STATE OF PLAY REPORT on Quality Assurance in VET

The "State of Play study on Quality Assurance in VET" has been performed. The study includes the recent developments at European level (EQARF recommendation, EQAVET, new studies publications) and the developments at national level in the four importing countries.
